Engine subframe is rigid solid welded steel tubing with inside rubber material durable bushing structural design used as a covered protective shield for engine, drive train gear transmission, steering system, chassis body, and the suspension parts of a vehicle. It is designed for uni body cars and attached by tightened bolts with strength to prevent forceful collision to hit the vehicle inside cabin.
The core benefit of attaching a subframe panel to a vehicle is to distribute high chassis load over a wide area and to isolate vibration effect from the body. The purpose of front and rear sub frames is to reduce the overall weight of a car. The engine sub frame can be generally categorized into simple axle type and perimeter frame design to carry the support of engine, transmission, and the full suspension.
